Workshop Schedule: Spring Conference

Spring Conference 2010

Dear Colleagues-

As we all know, revision isn't easy. Equal parts frustration and inspiration, this process of “re-seeing” is necessary if the end result is something that will endure.

This past week, your NHCTE executive board engaged in the revision process again. We looked at the current number of registrations for the spring conference and realized that, even with a stellar slate of presenters and workshops, the spring conference would not be a success. This is why we have decided to cancel the conference and re-think our traditional calendar of events.  We are confident that this revision work will result in a stronger and more diverse NHCTE- poised to meet the needs of English teachers throughout New Hampshire for years to come.

I'm planning on attending the Literacy Institutes at UNH and spending some summer days in the halls of Ham-Smith. Why? Each time I do, I return to my classroom renewed and excited to start the year.  That's also the reason why I am an active member of the NHCTE. I have never come away from an NHCTE event, or read an article in the newsletter, and not had some new inspiration to take back to my classroom.

Stay connected by visiting us at www.nhcte.org and you can continue to receive emails by renewing your membership. Be sure to watch for the announcement of our 2010 teacher of the year and get ready for summer by visiting our Lifelong Learners section, which features links to some fantastic opportunities to learn and grow.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth H. Juster, President
