Welcome to the New Hampshire Council of Teachers of English. As an affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of English teachers. Our website, newsletters, workshops, conferences and other events provide English teachers with opportunities to connect with other professionals as they explore the meaning and real-world application of the NCTE's standards and enrich their practice.

Spring Conference Keynote speaker, Bruce Penniman, author of Building the English Classroom: Foundations, Support, Success (NCTE) taught English for 36 years at Amherst Regional High School. He is the current professional development coordinator and former site director of the Western Massachusetts Writing Project. In 1999, he was named Massachusetts Teacher of the Year and was finalist for National Teacher of the Year. Bruce Penniman will be available for an informal discussion and Q&A after his address.
